Re: Combat report JG2 1940
Danny,
I don't have the Combat Report you want but HOMUTH was 3./JG27 and the date was July 20, 1940, in case anyone else is looking. |
Re: Combat report JG2 1940
...and Abschuss Bericht (combat reports) from the BofB are extremely rare to find

Danny
We'll forgive you the error....since I know you are writing this from memory and probably whilst being shot at by the Taliban. I know its from memory because your manuscript is sitting on my desk! I know you asked, but cannot find the thread, but here is the only image I have of Helmut Ackenhausen of the Porlock 27 September 1940 incident. This was originally held by Ken Wakefield, but his collection has long since been dispersed and nobody seems to know where to. Keep your head down and get home safely next month, Danny. PS....struggling to load this image. Will try again later!!! |
Re: Combat report JG2 1940
Thankyou for my correction, yes i am afraid it is on memory.... There is little mentioned on this combat engagement i have the report for the date on the RAF side.
Andy i am just about to email you copies of some wonderful sketches that a lady did for a chap called nick who is a BofB author as well. They are really good sketches and hopefully going to use them in my book. Catch you in a bit trying to get on line and get a few things so i can come upto yours armed with alot of new bits. And less work which i might need your help with....... By the way don't know if i mentioned i am going to be a Dad, due in September.... speak in a bit Danny |
