Fw 200 Condor - Schelcher
 

On 2 September 1940 Oblt Ekkehard Schelcher of III/JG54 was killed in action over the UK. According to his family, his younger brother was shot down and killed flying a Fw 200 over the Atlantic near The Orkneys in 1941.

Can anyone add in the details of that loss? His name, rank, details of crew, date etc etc.

Here are some details which may be of use ,
FW200 Werk-Nr.0054 C-3 F8+HH , shot down on 29.4.1941.
Oblt. Roland Schelcher and five crew members were all killed .

Shot down by Flak near Shetlands. 2 bodies recovered. Civilian code was DE+OI

Hv you Chris an idea about the time, that day 2 planes started at 05h30 from Stavanger 1 landed at 11h20 in Stavenger the other in Brest at 14h25, maybe by return flight occured the loss ??
