Visitors to the very interesting story might be unaware of what the 7 digits to Black 3's werk nummer signify. Black 3's werk nummer is typical for early Focke-Wulf 190s. The full 10 digit number officially reads: 190.0132.219. The "190" is obviously the aircraft type (and was often omitted from reports), the "01" indicates the A-series while "3" is the subtype (i.e. A-3). The first "2" tells us the maker, in the case Ago while the last three didgits "219" represent the individual aircraft. This system was later abandoned for a much simpler approach. I might add that the moral to the story, as presented, also most certainly applies to other forms of vintage transportation restoration; everything from bicycles to boats to cars!
