Capt Jean Rossignol
The above pilot from GAO 3/551 (possibly 2/551) was killed 11 Sep 39 when his Mureaux 117 was shot down by Flak near Trassem. He was a Legion d'Honneur holder according to what was written on his initial cross-can anyone tell me why he held this award or anything more about the man?

Thanks Dan. I have the details and photos of the grave but for what did Rossignol get the Legion D'Honneur?

Re: Capt Jean Rossignol
As an aside, I don't suppose that a telling you that a Captain Jean Rossignol was one of the first Air France Concorde captains after the fatal crash, is of any interest?
