Ramrod mission of 174 Squadron, 30 July 1942
 

Would like to know which target was attacked by 174 Squadron during that day and which losses occured. Can someone help?

According to Franks' Fighter Command Losses the target was St. Omer. 3 of 174 Squadron's Hurricanes were lost, 2 at/near St. Omer (both pilots POW) and one in the sea (pilot rescued). There also seem to be 4 122 Sqn and and 2 154 Sqn Spitfires lost on this operation (or a similar one to the same target on the same date)

From the Fighter Command Report on Active Operations for 30/7/42 (in AIR 24/559), the target was Saint-Omer/Fort Rouge aerodrome.
