All I could find was Ff Ofw Heinrich Schwiering m-+, B Fw Werner Ehrlich m, Bf Fw Wilhelm Letzius m, Bm Fw Ernst Nottmeier + body washed ashore Worthing on 18-4-1941 (now buried Cannock). believed fell to a Beaufighter of 219Sqn. at 0137 hrs. while on a mission to bomb Greenock by Glasgow.
I have WN as 2976 ( from Luft Qm's returns) |

Re: He 111 P-4 KG 55 on 8th april 1941
Hi Andy,
The KG55 book has the Bf as Letzgus but the Luft.QM's returns has the name as Letzius, do you have other comfirmation of the spelling. There appears to be a correction note on the QMs list but I cannot make this date out, Regards Brian Bines |
