I am lookikg for informations about the use, by the Luftwaffe, of captured French Loire 130 flyingboats.

Hello,

The Luftwaffe tested at least one Loire 130 at E-Stelle See Travemünde at the beginning of spring 41, coded BI + XA, where the plane was found inapt to
Seenot ( SAR ) missions.

A few details of this one-off bird in German "service" can be found the the Wochenberichte (Weekly information bulletins) from the E-Stelle (See) Travemünde:

10.05.41 - 16.05.41: Loire 130: Ausrüstungskontrolle durch die Fachgruppe abgeschlossen. Kurze überprüfung der Flugeigenschaften und Flugleistungen.

05.07.41 - 11.07.41: Loire 130: Messgerät für Kühlermessflüge eingebaut.

23.06.41: Eignung des franz. Flugbootes Loire 130 für Seenotdienst.
L.In.16 Die Inspektion des Seenotdienstes hat dieses Flugzeug-
muster bereits abgelehnt, weil:
1. Die See-Eigenschaften auch nicht annährend den Forer-
ungen entsprechen, die an einer Seenotflugzeug gestellt
werden müssen.
2. Die bewaffnung unter keiner umständen ausreicht.
3. Der Einsatz eines weiteren, bisher nicht im Seenotdienst
verwendeten Flugzeugmuster, für den Nachschubschwierigkeiten
vorhanden sind, unerwünscht ist.

L.In.16 war nicht bekannt, dass davon 20 Flugzeuge mit 4
Monatlich, laufend av September 1941, zur verfügung gestellt
werden können.

26.07.41 - 01.08.41 Loire 130: z.Zt. Mustereinbau FuG XXI.

One thing is for sure, the Loire 130 was never introduced operationally with the Luftwaffe, and the testing at E-Stelle Travemünde of this single aircraft, ended in the early autumn of 1941.
