Wellington JA118 432 Squadron
Hi All,
I,m looking for more info about Wellington JA118 432 Squadron. This plane crashed on August 31th 1943 after a raid to Mönchengladbach Germany. Is it possible that this plane where shot down by Hptm Hans Dieter Frank and crashed at Suggerath-Geilenkirchen Germany ?????? Thanks in advance, Michel |
Re: Wellington JA118 432 Squadron
I've as a possible crash location a wooded area NW of Keppeln, about 3 km N of Uedem. The crew were initially buried at Mönchengladbach 7-9-1943 (four of the graves have an inscription 'Buried near this spot' which means that the Grave Concentration Units (GCU's) at the time had their problems).
Regards, Henk. |
