Info about the airfield on VIS island, Croatia
 

I'm looking for some information about the small airstrip on the island of VIS in Croatia. 15th USAAF aircrews used it as an emergency airfield on the way back from their bombing missions to Austria and south Germany.

Is the field still in use /existent? Any pictures available? Any kind of information is highly appreciated.

took me seconds to get infos about Vis by google.
Vis or better Vish was a military bas closed till the independence of Croatia in 1990. Around the island you can dive for wrecks.
