56th Fighter Group Website Launched.

For too long now "Zemke's Wolfpack" has been without a proper website.
This has now been rectified with the launch of a new website dedicated to the 56th Fighter Group.
On there you will be able to find :
Interviews with 56th Fighter Group veterans.
A history of the 56th,
A complete list of missions flown,
Personnel roster for the whole group and its support units.
Over 300 ( and rising) combat reports.
Selected 56th Fighter Group publications
Photo Gallerys with many previously unseen photographs being added regularly.
Reunion photographs and much more!
The site can be found at
www.56thfightergroup.co.uk

Re: 56th Fighter Group Website Launched.

Hi all.
I am putting together a photo album for the pilots of each of the 56th FG squadrons ready to add to the 56th website.
Of the 528 pilots listed on the personnel roster in the Washington Infantry Press book I am 12 pilots shy of a full set of photos.
The missing photos are..
61st FS
ABAR- Everett.
BLOOM- Robert.
MYERS- Clarence.
SMITH- Judson.
STROUD- William.

62nd FS.
BEELER- Hugh.
TEVELS- Albert.
WOODWARD- John.

63rd FS.
REED- Richard.
SCHREIBER- Walter.
TATE- William.
VEST- Boss.

Can anybody help fill in the last few gaps?

Thanks in anticipation.
Nige

The 56th FG site continues to grow and the latest additions include Donavon Smith of the 61st FS logbook and photo album.
Other recent additions include previously unseen photographs of 62nd FS personnel, then and now photos of Halesworth and Boxted, more Timeless Voices interviews....
Lots more to come.
All the best,
Nige

I noted that someone found a photo of Hugh Beeler. Hugh and I went through P-47 training at Richmond, VA in August '43. Does anyone know if Hugh is still alive? He was a fine gentleman.
