Donald J. Best KIA April 16th 1945

Looking for the crash site of Donald Best. Based on the MACR he was hit by Flak in the area of Rosenheim but tried to make it to "friendly" area. Any idea where his crash site is located?

I think you should state the unit to which the pilot belonged and what type of aircraft he was flying in order to find out more information.

Am I right in thinking he was flying a P-47D?

His IDPF would give detailed information on where he was originally found, but they do take a long time to get to you and there are restrictions on who can order them. Danny
