Re: Sgt Gledhill, 600 Sqn
Chris,
I have a Sgt Gledhill with 600 Sqn in 1941; no initials or name. Claimed an He-111 damaged on May 5, 1941, 0315 to 0515; and an He-111 destroyed on May 6, 1941, 2225 to 0100. Pilot was S/L Charles Arthur Pritchard (Aust) (90092, DFC (LG #35199, June 24, 1941/S0, pg 3607)). Then in 1942, I have a P/O B P Gledhill with 125 Sqn as a radar operator. Pilot was S/L Frederick Desmond Hughes for a shared destroyed claim on Nov 4, 1942 at 0902 (the other crew was Turnbull/Dixon). I have to believe they are the same person, but I have nothing tying them together. If you find something, please let me know. Enjoy! Frank. |

Looked through my 125 Sqn photos and there was a photo of Flt Lt B P Gledhill, Nav Rad to Flt Lt Eric Barwell so looks like our man-thanks
