PSS Pitomnik

According to his personal account (Jägerblatt XXIII-1), Kurt Ebener flew into Stalingrad's "pocket" with Oblt Lucas on 16th December 1942.
Some authors state that PSS Pitomnik was formed much earlier (some speak of 1st December).
Were Ebener and Lucas reinforcements or was the PSS actually formed at the date they arrived?
Thanks.

Chris

Re: PSS Pitomnik

PSS Pitomnik was formed earlier, Ebener and Lucas went there as soon as II/JG3 was despatched in Stalingrad for the second time. Earlier the Gruppe was subordinated to LW Kdo Ost and took part in Central and North-West sectors of the Eastern front operations.
