Unknown Bf109G-2 "Schwarze 1"
Hello all,
we can find the picture here: http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=6687 Any idea??? I have one (we can always dream!) What are the clues? - Siwerskaya hangar in background. - Yellow band around fuselage under the black cross. - Ribbon + RK cross on top rudder, 50+ victory bars in five rows of ten plus 3? - Yes there is a green heart (blurry) under the canopy. - and yes, there is an emblem on nose looking like a 8./JG54 one, view from behind on a blurry picture. I've never seen it before, but I would say it's a Bf109G-2, WNr.10438, flown by 8.JG54 Stfkpt. Oblt. Max-Hellmuth Ostermann, taken in Siwerskaya just before he was shot down on 9/8/1942. Well, you can always insult me if I'm wrong! :D. Cheers, Franck. |
Re: Unknown Bf109G-2 "Schwarze 1"
... OK, I must admit there is a problem with what I "dreamed" upper. :o.
III.JG54 received it's G-2 in September and victories figure doesn't match pretty well. But I maintain the 8./JG54 emblem on nose. Exit Ostermann... Who was his follower as Stfkpt? Cheers, Franck. |

Re: Unknown Bf109G-2 "Schwarze 1"
Not bad. Camo, yellow band and even that blury emblem can match!
Thank you Rasmussen. |
