W/C R.H.Cox RAAF
 

I am after any details of service relating to W/C Ronald Hubert Cox AFM AFC Aus.106. He was a flight commander (?) or supernumery with 23 Sqn RAF around March of 1942. A newspaper clipping also suggests he had Beaufighter experience on return to Australia mid to late 1942. AWM records indicate his AFC was gazetted in a New Year’s honour list Jan 1942, however records relating to the award were apparently destroyed. Any help appreciated.

Hi Drew

Go to the following site http://www.naa.gov.au/
Left click on “record search” on right,
Then right click on search now as a guest
Then left click on “basic search” which should appear towards the top.
Then in keywords type Ronald Hubert Cox then click search.

This will bring up a screen and on the right under the heading “Digitised Item” click on the little book two rows down. This will bring up 33 pages of information, which may be of interest

Thanks for that Ross. I hadn't checked the NAA file status of RH Cox since my post in June. It is good to see the online version can now be viewed.
