Little Walden He 177 crash photo`s

Hi all, I have put a short summary of this on another thread here but thought Id slam it in the Luftwaffe section too.....as a direct result of placing an appeal on this forum for info leading to locating any additional info or even photographs of the Heinkel He 177 crash at Butlers Farm at Little Walden in 1944 Ive just hit researchers "Gold". Two young ladies in New Zealand weres researching their grand fathers Wartime career and he just happened to be John Christie who along with Stanley Huppert shot down this Heinkel.Their search flagged up my request and contact details Their family have retained his Log Book, medals and photographs. Kindly they have granted me permission to publish all of them. Pasted into the covers of the Log Book were four photographs of a crashed aeroplane site. Unbelievably they show this Heinkel He 177 and are what I believe to probably be the only known photographs still in existence. My intentions are to reserve them for my future book War Torn Skies Essex, and then after a period to download them onto this forum for all to share. Amongst the photographs is a fine shot of Huppert and Christie too. Cheers all Julian

Hi Clint the draft text has been completed as well as the photographic collection. Now Im not too sure as its being Published by Red Kite and these guys have been ever so busy in last 2 years. However as a rough ball park I reckon very late this year or early to mid 2011. Please do keep a check on www.redkitebooks.co.uk for publishing updates.
Cheers Julian
