III./ZG26 aces 1940

As there is a discussion about III./ZG26 claims in thread about I./ZG26, I thought it must be moved to new thread. III./ZG26 was credited with 168 victories to the end of 1940. Stab III./ZG26: 22 victories Obstlt. Schalk - 8 abschusse, RK 5.9.40 (the only member of Gruppe awarded in 1940) Lt. Sommer - 9 Oblt. Barschel - 3 Uffz. Scheuplein - 3 (Bf. of Obstlt Schalk) 7./ZG26: 41 vic. Lt. Konopka - 7 Fw. Haugk - 6 Uffz. Sander - 4 Oblt. Matthes - 3 Uffz. Lange - 3 Fw. Kaufmann - 3 8./ZG26: 52 Oblt. Baagoe - 13 Oblt. Meyer - 6 (is he the same with later Hptm. Karl-Heinz "Conny" Meyer?) Fw. Scherer - 6 Ofhr. Wehmeyer - 5 Lt. Kuhrke - 5 Lt. von Bergen - 3 9./ZG26: 50 Lt. Sidow - 10 Oblt. Grisslich - 6 Ofw. Holt - 5 Fw. Supke - 4 Ofhr. Lagger - 3 Uffz. Reinhold - 3 Oblt. Montag - 3 Losses among CO's were little - Oblt. Kurt Heinrich (StaKa 7./ZG26) s/d 20.05.1940, died of wounds on 24 may. Second was Gr.Adj. Lt. Botho Sommer, s/d on 7 october. |

According to Von Bergen, Conny Meyer was his St Kap-I put the 2 in touch only for Meyer to pass away

Erich Von Bergen said Conny Meyer was his St Kap hence the Oblt Meyer is probably him. I contacted Meyer, put him in touch with Von Bergen but he (Meyer) died shortly after that
