"Tmavomodrý svet" ("Dark Blue World")
 

I was very glad to notice that Mizla's movie list included the above one. I have recently seen and taped it, and I liked it so much (although I'm not crazy about it - I have watched it only four times so far).

I don't know whether it was discussed earlier, but I would love to hear from fellow users re their opinions on this film.

It´s a great film Franz and one which I have seen several times. So much better than the dreadful "Pearl Harbor" which has a similar plot.

I´m lucky to know an old Spitfire pilot from 485 Sqn who saw it and thought it was fairly realistic although he did say that there was "too much chitchat over the R/T".

Might have to pick up the DVD sometime.

I like the movie as well. Some parts are perhaps too long (and Wehrmacht arrives too early when Spitfire is down :) ), but in general I like it very much.

It was released here in Brasil on DVD. I like it. Sometimes is good to have non-Hollywood movies to see something different.

Yesterday I acquired the DVD...I came, I saw it and I bought it.

But...I seem to recall that dinghies were usually linked to the pilot's chute harness by means of a line. Why is this detail omitted in the movie?

Maybe because a dinghy - an apparently minor object in the plot - was to evolve into the real prompter of the key fact of the movie?
