He 111 Engines
I am afraid this is not my area of expertise but how to you differentiate a He 111 P's engines (DB601) from a He 111 H's engines (Jumo 211). Did the former have exhaust stubs and the latter exhaust tubes for example?

Re: He 111 Engines
Supercharger intakes on different side of the engines. Somewhat different shape of engine nacelles.

Re: He 111 Engines
Pawel: So if you are looking at the starboard engine from the starboard wingtip, would the visible supercharger intake above an exhaust tube indicate a H?

Re: He 111 Engines
Yes, on H the intakes were on the starboard (right) side of the engines looking in flight direction.

Great and thanks

Re: He 111 Engines
Now for quick ID visual aids.
P intake on the left / Port side of the engine nacelle, H intake on the right / Starboard side. As for exhausts, that could vary. Not a reliable ID point. Especially as retrofitting occurred.
