KG 27 loss 23.02.42
 

I am having trouble finding the KG 27 books, so therefore I would like to ask the following:
Ogr. Martin Maner was Bordfunker in KG 27.
His plane crashed february 23. 1942 in (I cannot read this) in Russia.

I am searching informations on type of plane, codes and the rest of the crew.
Any help would be more than welcome.

All I can find is; 23.02.42 He 111H-6 Wnr.4524 1G + FR (white F) of 7/KG27. Fw. Ernst Ziegler and crew MIA. Cause unknown, Russland.

Could be the aircraft you are interested in? Hopefully, other forum members can help you further.

Ogefr. Martin Mayer(!) Bordfunker crashed with the 1G+GS due to engine trouble near Cherson, full crew killed.

Maybe it IS Mayer and not Maner....
I have his picture on a death card and it is written in gothic letters.
I guess, this is an example, how much You should investigate before You can
"close a case"
If You have the time, could I ask about Your source and the rest of the crewmembers?
