Ju 88 lost on 17.12.1944
Gentlemen,
on 17.12.1944, two P-51/F-6 pilots of 15.RS claimed a Ju 88/188 near Frankfurt-Rebstock a/f around 15:45 hours. Accoding to a local German source, a Ju 88 was shot down in this area around the same time. The report mentions that two flyers were killed in the crash, a third bailed out and was wounded, and a fourth bailed out, but his chute did not open. The last name of this man is given with "Wiese". According to the VdK-Database, a Fw. Max Wiese died on this day in the Frankfurt area - so maybe this is the full name of this man. Every further info about this a/c and the crew is welcome! Regards Heuser |
