If there had been a Bordfunker listed, I would have included his name as well.

Iglau (Czech = Jihlava) is a town in Moravia, NW of Brunn. Iglau is situated on the Iglawa, close to the Bohemian frontier, and is one of the oldest towns in Moravia, then being the centre of a German-speaking enclave.

Greetings all,

I am in no way a Ju 87 expert. However, is there any way that Ju 87 5820 could be a Ju 87R-2 and not a B?

Could it be?

"is there any way"?
Well, yes, it is possible, I suppose. WNr.5796, for example, was listed as a B-2, and the earliest 58xx series are also listed as B-2s. The first R-2 in this sequence is 5832. If I had to guess, the installed 'plumbing' for the wing tanks may have been from 5830 or 5831. Other Werknummer ranges are clearly one type or another (not mixed).

For those that may be less-familiar, the only clues as to whether a Ju87 is a B or an R is either: 300 liter wingtanks installed (it's an R), or its Werknummer (some times, again, depending on the range). An R carrying SC50s on the wing racks is indistinguishable from a B-2.
