Tomahawks on the Eastern Front

Does anyone know if Tomahawks were still being used on the front line in 1943? I know a number of P40s were shot down in 1943 but assume these were Kiyyhawks?

Hi Keith

By 1943 the Tomahawk was still being used however in small numbers, mostly by non frontline Units. However it is my understanding that 152IAP still had a few Tomahawks along with their Kittyhawks late in 1943. I have in my notes a known loss due to weather as late as Oct 1943.
