The Falklands War, Now and Then

After The Battle has produced many excellant books over the years, but, is the Falklands War, Now and Then worth the price?

Checked it out via inter-library loan.
Typical ATB product.. huge densely packed volume.

John, even with the high standards they have set already in coverage of WWI and WWII, this is in my opinion one of the best publication that the 'After The Battle' team have released.

The level of research and subsequent detail is truly amazing, and anyone who knows the standard 'Then and Now' format in these books will not be left feeling disappointed.

My advice is go ahead and buy it.

Regards Richard.

Thanks to everyone. I've always enjoyed their books. I wondered if this one had a lot on the air war and not just the ground war.

When I went to France and down the Seine this spring, it was wonderful to do the comparisons with the photos in Ruckmarsch. We actually docked at several places in Rouen and other towns shown in the photos!

John, the air element of the war over the Falkland Islands is indeed covered in as much detail as the land and sea elements, including very interesting interviews with opposing aircrews.

Regards Richard.

Jukka:

I'm still working my way through it. the detail and information is almost overwhelming. But, it is very readable, just a lot of it!

Thier books are not cheap, but I've never gotten one that was not worth the money.

Highly recommended.
