Hello interesting that 6./11 Flugbuch...
Interesting because He flew one plane which was coded 6M+AM -first a Bf110, then a Ju88.... same thing with 6M+JM.
Comments?
Franck.

The lion cub with the JG 53 collection makes me wonder - can we identify the 'camouflage' pattern as being the from the same lion cub as seen, possibly earlier, with JG 3 and Franz von Werra, previously with JG 3? (Said tongue in cheek - )

Re: Photos 9-21

Morning Thenelm,
not a direct answer but; I did notice too this pattern.
The fact is that camouflage pattern is unique in for each animal, so unique that it is precisely the clew zoologists use to recognize - inside a race - one animal from another one. I do recommend you to read the magnificent book "Leopards of Londolozi", for example, where this clew is very well explained and illustrated (The hint of this book - and the film too - was to established Leopards generation inside the area). Stefaan do know this book and this South African reserve, I'm sure.

If you are able to recognize on that last picture the same pattern we can see on all Werra's cub picture; be sure it's the one.
Now, concerning this cub story "in" luftwaffe I'm not very helpful.

Regards, Franck.

PS: Sorry I did forget. Normally "they" use dots pattern on face/head since it's easier to spot details in this area than in the middle of a body.

These "English" aircraft here

seem to be Greek.

Hallo Ed,

Your photo collection postings are unfortunately - for us - not as frequent as before, but the quality is as excellent and interesting as ever. Your last three postings have included at least one Fairey Battle image in each. Where do you find them ?

Many thanks Ed, much appreciated.

Martin Gleeson.

Hi Martin,

You're welcome. All that's required is an exhaustive search of ebay.de.

Ed
