P-38 picture with "RONNIE" on the nose
Gentlemen, I'm looking for a picture about a P-38 with the painting "Ronnie" on the nose. Has anyone seen such and could help me further?
"Ron" was the name of 2nd. Lt. Quentin A. Teige son. He had "RONNIE" painted on the nose of his P-38J of 49th Sqd/14th FG probably by April to May 1944. Lt. Teige was shot down in P-38J #43-28261 on May 24th, 1944 by a german Me 110. Not sure if that was the plane with "Ronnie" on it but I would like to see a picture. Any help is greatly appreciated!
