Spas - Lyschkina
 

Hi all together,

I'm unable to find the airfield "Spas - Lyschkina". It was the base of the III./ JG 51 (sometimes I found the information that's "Maloyaroslavetz" but I'm not sure that's right). Flight books are the one and only source for "Spas-Lyschkina"...

There is a place called Maloyaroslavets (notice the final s rather than a z) SW of Moscow. There are also two such places in Ukrain. Depending of the period one could be the one you are searching.

Go to maplandia.com and search Maloyaroslavets

Trying to find places in Russia from German documents needs some luck, but replacing "z" by "s", "sch" by "ch", and sometimes "y" by "i" or the other way may help.

Many thanks for your reply ... but Maloyaroslavets isn't the problem, it's "Spas -Lyschkina". There isn't any information about this (with exeption of flight books).

Bei Utrikowo there is a place called Spas-demjansk visited by JG51 in Oct.41... Malojaroslawetz seems to hv been used just by I.JG51

...

Hello all,
I know it is old post but I found place Spas-Zagor'e ((55°2'57.98" E - 36°35'42.00" N), cca. 10km NE from Maloyaroslavets. I think it was Feldfluplatz somewhere around.
