Unexploded US bomb!
2 Attachment(s)
Hello!
Here is a picture of US bomb that was in ww2 droped by the bomber ( US, UK?) on the city of GONOBITZ (at that time occupied Yugoslavia), today that is the town: Slovenske Konjice (Slovenia). This one landed near the castle and didn't explode. Germans have used explosive from the bomb in a local quarry (mine). This piece is now in a private collection (of course empty). Does anyone have any information when that could be? Regards! Marko |
Re: Unexploded US bomb!
Looks like a standard AN-M64 500lb General Purpose bomb, hundreds of thousands were dropped all over the world. Probably from USAAF stocks, the RAF on the whole used British designed bombs.
