Shoreham Aerojumble Sat 26 March 2011!

I am not sure if promoting an event in this column is permitted? If it breaks the forum rules my apologies and no doubt the moderators will take it down.

After a gap of some five years I am pleased to announce that I am re-launching the Shoreham Aerojumble to be held at Shoreham Airport, West Sussex, on Saturday 26 March 2011.

It is hoped there will be over one hundred stalls, all undercover, selling a range of historic aviation items both military and civil.

Included will be books, model kits, uniforms, flying equipment, aircraft parts and relics, photographs, flying clothing, uniforms and badges, memorabilia, prints and artwork, signed items, ephemera, documents, log books, clocks, propellors....etc etc etc!

Unlike internet auction sites, here you can browse, handle the items, chat to vendors and rummage in boxes of collectables. Something that started to die with the onset of internet selling is, hopefully, gradually reviving.

We hope to see our usual numbers of European and overseas sellers and buyers!

Make a date in your diaries.

Thats good news Andy. I used to enjoy flying to Shoreham just to visit the Aerojumble.

Just bumping this up....!

Over 80 stall spaces are currently booked, and I know there will be a good selection of WW2 aircraft parts (Allied and German) as well as a huge selection of books, photos, memorabilia, documents, flying equipment, model kits etc etc.

Well worth a visit, and pleasing to note that a few overseas traders have booked and that a number of overseas visitors have applied for early-bird passes.

One not to miss.....!

........."A-Eleven Publications hope to have supplies of "Spitfire Survivors - Then and Now" - Volume 1 Colour Edition on sale at Shoreham Aerojumble on Sat 26 March, samples copies of the Colour and Black and White Editions will be available for inspection, and ordering"...........

Thus far we have a full marquee and a goodly number of outside pitches, too!

A thank-you to all forum 'members' and visitors who made this event the great success that it was!

It was gratifying to see a goodly number of familiar faces who crop up on the forum, and especially good to see the eventual release of "Spitfire Survivors" - a truly stunning tome.
