That Heinkel He 111 over the Thames image

I've been tidying up recently, and come across some photocopies I made of the backs (I'm weird like that) of a few Luftwaffe strike photographs taken over London on September 7th 1940.

The Film is identified as 0923, the Unit KG 1, and the Beobachter one Oblt Freyer. Now, the frames (nos 315, 316, 318, 319, and 320) show bombs falling on a NNE track Just SW of the isle of Dogs (the images are interpreted by Mssrs (actually, Gefrs) Poessl and Hemp of Stabia Lfl 2. All this is straightforward enough. Now the interesting bit. The position of the shipping in the Thames, the smoke, the aircraft pov (point of view) etc very strongly suggest that the 'missing' image in the sequence is the one with the celebrated Heinkel 111 passing by beneath.

Now - does anyone know about Oblt Freyer of KG 1. Did he survive the war, and if he did, did he ever lay claim to having taken that iconic image?
