Three interesting Bf109 pictures on eBay

Hi there,

http://cgi.ebay.de/Foto-Jagd-Flugzeu...item43a26f5df7
Seems to be Peter Bremer's "Weisse 7", but with two emblems and "7" passed away. Comments?

Bf109G... StKz starting with RT+... normally given as a G-8 in Bert Hartmann site. Comments?

seems nothing very important but look the bids... That plane is pictured in one of Prien books, showing mechanicals working on it. Place is Bönninghardt, 1939.

Cheers, Franck.

Re: Three interesting Bf109 pictures on eBay

I think the first one was the mount of Reinhard Seiler.

Salut Franck,

I cannot tell between G-6 or G-8 without W.Nr. ... All what can be noticed is the typical Mtt Regensburg camo pattern for spring and summer 1944. There is a possibility this machine has an enlarged tailplane (to be clearly seen on the print without watermark).

A very interesting picture. Thanks!
Marc

Re: Three interesting Bf109 pictures on eBay

Hi there,

@Marc
I recognize I'm quite lost with that RT+??.
The only place I found RT+xx data is StKz.de, Bert Hartmann site, where RT+UA to UZ are given as being Bf109G-8, without WNr. indications. (More, no mention of one Bf109B, RT+??, WNr.593, for which we can find two pictures in Falcon site.)
No RT+xx at all data in van Gogh list.
All Bf109G-8 are given as being produced in WNF, not Regensburg.
Note, that picture shows us a small "beule", G-5 style, the same we can find on MT-483, WNr.710012, a Bf109G-8 of Finnish AF; but without tall fin.
May be that "white 27" painted on cowling would be a clue for either unit or type? Just a suggestion... In the mean time, Finnish AF planes used to have such numbers painted on cowling... Just another suggestion.
Last, RT+UG, a Bf109G-8, is supposed to have flown with 1./NAGr.6 in June 1944.

@Primoz,
The only Seiler's mount I know wears a white 1, but why not? Note that on that picture we can see not only one faded "white 7" but TWO. One being bigger an positionned a little bit forward.

Regards, Franck.

Ref: bf109e, white 7, 1.JG54.
Well done Primoz, it is Seiler's white 7. We can close out Peter Bremer, a) He arrived much later to I.JG54 and was first assigned to 2.JG54 b) Oblt Seiler brought home from Spain the top hat emblem (2.J88) and sported it together with the chimney sweep (staffel emblem 1.JG54 1939-1942) on his bf109's, c) I attach a photo together with the context where it is mentioned that Seiler had used a white 7.
Anyway, this photo fits perfect in my JG 54 collection.:)
Cheers

Hi Hihotte,

That's the one I have too ... telling it was Bremer :( ... But I agree with Seiler "White 7" - found it on Kracker... and I agree he (Bremer) joined I./JG54 later... except I don't see both emblems on the picture you posted, I'm going to change my captions concerning that plane! immediatly!
Thanks both Primoz and Hihotte. :).

As you said: "anyway, another good picture to put in my collection". I Like eBay!

Regards, Franck.

Hi again,

Any chance for this plane to be Seiler's 'White 7' too: http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=5581

Hello Franck,
you did nothing wrong and for my understanding you don't need nothing to change. As regards of the other beast in the splinter proof box, I will come back to you on this thread.
Cheers
hihotte
P.S. For the missing chimney sweep, always a problem with the Staffelmaler, may be they called him to "Luftwaffen Feld Division" - joke, too early :-D hihotte

Hi Group,
The BF-109 is indeed that of Mr. Seiler, Mr Peter Bremer fly on a BF-109 F2, 12 black "Hermannchen" during "Operation Barbarossa" in autumn 1941 and was with the 2/JG- 54, the news was confirmed to me by his fellow squadron that I meet, Mr Hugo Broch and when I showed him my album with autographed photos of Pilots, he saw that Peter Bremer and this is he told me they were together at the 2/JG-54.

Michel,

Do you know when Hugo Broch and Peter Bremer joined 2./JG54? We don't have good tracking on their careers.
