Looking for a picture of Erich Gehring. He probably was involved in the downing of a B-17 on March 11 1944. A good friend's father was KIA in that event...

Pilota 1st Lt. Robert H. Taylor 97th BG 340th BS. Il bombardiere, colpito dall’Uffz. Gehring del 2./JG 53, fu visto esplodere in aria a 5 km dalla costa di Ravenna e finire in mare, trascinando con sé quasi tutto l’equipaggio.

How accurate can Lt Gehring be credited for this particular B-17?
