Re: Some more Luftwaffe planes, 1945
Bonsoir Marc,
some notes... Bf109G-10, WNr.612269, "Gelbe 12", No? she is on top of a Me262A-1a, WNr.500004. For the Bf109K-4, I have 1./NJG11, Holzkirchen. And for "Weisse 26", Lechfeld, I guess. Perhaps another one to follow but let me check deeper. A toute, Franck. |

Concerning the Bf109K-4; ref Poruba and Mol 2000 p58 & Noro 2009 p152! Well you know who gave me these references... As fot the last 262/G-8; Bad Aibling?? Not München-Reim scrap?.. and our friend "Weisse F"? I'm not very sure in fact. Regards, Franck. |

Salut Franck,
Thanks again for your inputs... I'm still not through this awesome Flickr set... Here some more: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ Bf 109 G-14 w.N.r 780'691 http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ Me 410 http://www.flickr.com/photos/kemon01...7624920630336/ Ju 88 G Cheers Marc |
Re: Some more Luftwaffe planes, 1945
Fw !90 F-8 W.Nr. 440340 was at Villafranca di Verona.
The Fw 190 recorded as "W.Nr. 440'491 (?), Vicenza 1945": I think the last three digits are more like 411 and there's no record of a 190 with those markings at Vicenza. The Luftlotte 4 cowl band and rudder point to some location other than Italy, too. Ju 87 "+TD" is V8+TD of 3./NSG 1 at Neubiberg. He 111 2B+DC was a machine sold to Hungary. It landed at San Severo with Hungarian emissaries aboard on 9 December 1944. Two pictures are familiar (or I've seen ones from similar angles) but the one showing the 2B code is a first for me. |
Re: Some more Luftwaffe planes, 1945
Thanks Nick for correcting my errors, and memory: My bookshelf is too far off from my laptop this evening...
And thanks for updating the informations. Cheers Marc |
Re: Some more Luftwaffe planes, 1945
Marc,
Thank you very much for posting so many gems! Just in the interest of clarity, I'd like to offer a few additional notes others may find useful: Fw 190 A-8, CT+.. was actually an A-7 Fw 190 A-8, "White 10" is actually an F-8, FE-113, in Pennylsvania Fw 190 F-8, 440411 was really an NDW built F-9 Fw 190 A-8, 440340 was also an NDW built F-9 Fw 190 on its nose, close-up of on its fuselage, was a A-9/R11 from I./JG 300 Fw 190 crash site appears to show the wreckage of a D-9 Me 262 A-1/U3 "red 26"...was only a white outline number, no red, yes??? Do 335 A-6 was really 240112, an ex A-0 converted to an A-10 The two Ju 290 photos are quite nice but does anybody know their identity? Hal |
