Kdre. Kurt Bühligen JG2 "Richthofen"
Hello all,
as late-war JG2 Kommodore Oberstleutnant Kurt Bühligen was born right in the vicinity of my parents' native village but also fought late 44 / early 45 and lived his post-war life only a couple of kilometers away from my present hometown, which is already a quite remarkable coincidence (Nidda is about 250 km away from Granschütz) there has always been a strong affinity and interest in me for this aces' personal biography. Unfortunately all the www-Wiki's, WWII-Forums and - you name it - that I investigated thoroughly over the past years, only gave common and scarce data. Even the circumstances of his capture by the russians or allies seem to be more like a mystery after all those years. Therefore I now ask you for help: Is there anyone around here who can provide information about post-war occupations and/or far more detailed description of his military career? Any help or additional data / address / image / contact is very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, |
