Battle of Taranto remembered
 

Now seems a good time to think about Battle of Taranto, as we approach Nov 11th. Sharing a birthday with Armistice Day, it often gets over-looked as a result, yet Churchill saw it as a major turning point in the balance of naval power in the Med.

Royal Navy airmen flying open-topped Swordfish torpedo bombers attacked the Italian fleet. The Imperial War Museum's Nick Hewitt talks about at length in an article in December's Military Times.
