Walter Schuck's Address

My book Day Fighters in Defense of the Reich: A War Diary is in the capable hands of Frontline Books in London. It has passed its first reading and should be out next spring. It contains an account of one of Walter Schuck's Me 262 combats translated from his excellent memoir Abschuss! His publisher Helios has not responded to my repeated requests for permission to publish this quote, and I'd like to try writing him directly. Could someone please post his address in a PM?

Horrido!

Hallo Horst --

Many thanks! The PM has not been posted yet, but I'll keep looking. I hate to impose on Walter, but hope he won't mind replying to me. I've been trying to contact Helios, his publisher, for over a year -- this is the correct procedure to get publication permissions -- but can't get them to answer letters or e-mails. I've never had a publisher "stiff" me like this.

I'll keep this board posted as the book winds its way thru the publication process.

Best regards,

Don

Hi Don,

I sent the PM this morning via your homepage, maybe this does not work? So please send an e-mail to me (see member list) and then I try it again.

Ref. Helios, I must excuse them: there is no one talking good English and this must be the reason why you did not get an answer. Normally they are very friendly and helpful and never would act unpolite like this.

All the best,
Horst
