Biggin Hill Wing Leader

Hi,

W/C Thomas DFC* led Biggin Hill Wing (611 & 340 Sqn) until the end of 1942. Does anone know when W/C Milne DFC* commenced leading as his successor ? End of December or beginning of January ?

Hi,

according to "Aces High" Milne became Wing Leader at Biggin Hill in January 1943

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for reply. Aces High is one of two sources that "Dickie" Milne became OC in January.
Could this change be on 1st January when "Sailor" Malan was appointed as Biggin Hill Station Leader ?
