Staffelkapitaen of the 1./J.G. 300

I just acquired a Soldbuch for a mechanic of the 1./J.G. 300. A signature of the soldier's Staffelkapitaen (Squadron Commander) is in the pay book and I am wondering if anyone can tell me who the Staffelkapitaen of the 1./J.G. 300 was as of 14 August 1944. I know that his rank was Leutnant.

Looking through our personnel notes, it appears that the fellow you are looking for is Lt. Erwin Stahlberg who apparently was the Staka of 1./JG 300 in the summer of 1944. The information we have is rather sketchy so we cannot be absolute about this.
