18/11 - Bf109s on eBay - 2
Hi there,
Some thing good this evening: 1. http://cgi.ebay.de/Privat-Foto-Me-10...item27b6a71c55 2. http://cgi.ebay.de/WH-Me109-Messersc...item3a609a4348 3. http://cgi.ebay.de/WH-Me109-2x-Staff...item3a609a4660 The last two are interesting; We can see Bf109D from I./ZG2 being mixed - I should say being transfered to a JFS. #3 is quite obvious; the plane still have ZG2 emblems and the School number is already writen on fuselage. Any idea which JFS received planes from ZG2? Check, please, other pictures from this seller. Some Bf110s are amazing. Cheers, Franck. |

Thanks Franck,
For your onigoing efforts. The first pic does show a Bf 109 G-5 or G-6. Could it be a JG 5 machine? Cheers Marc |

Hello Marc,
Who knows? :D. We can just suppose. Regards, Franck. |

Yo Franck!
To be more precise, this wavy camouflage makes me think of JG 5; any other units known to use this not so common scheme? Cheers Marc |
Re: 18/11 - Bf109s on eBay - 2
I do not think JG 5 ever had G-5 machines while they were in Norway/Finland. They did have a few while on the Invasion Front in Normandy but they were mostly G-5/AS machines.

Thanks John for your input. Personnally, I cannot make out any telltale sign giving a G-5 away... Am I missing something?
Cheers Marc |

Yo Marc,
but JG5 sounds good anyway. No comments by seller about the place, except a date; February 44. If the picture is taken in Finland sounds, roughly, 8. Staffel. not many choice. Regards, Franck. |

And certainly the VBKZ was not red, but black.
