seems to be! What you thought? That picture was quoted 2 or 3 euros until the last day; during the last hours it reached 47 euros, and it reached that last figure during the last minute if not the last seconds. EBay auction is not an auction at all, but a bet! If the buyer did bet 450 euros at the very beginning you have no way to know it.
Last JG11 G-5 I did put in these Bf109 eBay chronicles did reach 600 Euros!

Absolutely incredible. Someone must be mad as they will never recoup this money back even if the photo is printed in a book at 10 Euros a time 10 times. I have just picked up 17 photos on ebay 3 of which show a Bf 109, one a Ju 88, 2 He 111s, 2 Ar 96 and 6 Do 17 and I only paid 47 Euros which is a good price. More money than sense?

Only 10 euros? I'm surprised with that figure. I got 5 times that amount 30 years ago...

In the mean time I think the guy is not waiting for his money back through some publications.. Collectors are compulsive, from the lowest to the higher level you can imagine.
We know it perfectly here since we started to collect luftwaffe stuffs during the 60s. I met those guys and I'm sure you met some of them since then, didn't you?
What about that Avedon's picture which reached 841 000 euros last week?...

Going rate for reproduction of photos is 15 Euros and surely it was Francs 30 years ago, not Euros??!!

Sure it was,

10x6,5.. you get Francs and you can multiply by 5 to have the rate at that time. Tending in count the past cost of life it was interesting! Good old times...
