Looking for Luftfahrt International issue

Is anyone in posession of 'Luftfahrt International' issue with article by Karl Kössler on Do 17? I do not know exact date but surely before 1986.

Kind regards,
Pawel

Do you mean the old Luftfahrt International booklets?

I've got 1-27 (last one is dated May/June 1978), but there is no mention of the Do 17 in the glossary. However there is one smallish article on the Do 217N in Nr. 23.

Pawel,

I have the issue(s) you are looking for.

Please contact me off line.

Luftahrt International was published as a smaller magazine by a different publisher (Mittler I believe) after the first 27 were published by Pawel.

They ran as a monthly until 1983.

Kossler's articles on the Do-17 ran in Issues 1, 2 and 3 in 1983.

Gary,

Apart from the size, does the later publication conform to the same format - that is including a lot of repro manuals and documents?

If so, I have to get my greedy paws on those later issues.

Re: Looking for Luftfahrt International issue

Ruy,

Well.... Yes and no.

For example these is a 5 part series on the Ju-188 which is taken from the technical manuals. Then there are two or three part articles - like the Do-17 articles. These are written by current writers and are nothing like the older Luftfahrt Internation issues 1 thru 27.

Probable 1/2 to 3/4 of the later issues are made up of then current aviation news.

There are jems to be found like Theodor Mohr's 7 page articale on the Me-109X with the BMW 801 engine

I found a complete set almost by accident. I only found out of these later issues reserching the Focke Wulf Triebflugel. A reference was dated 1980. I though it was a mistake as I thought the series ended in 1979.

Mittler later reprinted the original Luftfahrt series in a booklet form. Each book containing 4 or 5 of the original issues.

As far as I know they are quite rare. As I've never seen them on EBAY.
