Hello Mike,

Aree you sure ist is a Me 109 E? I don't have any data for this exact Werknummer, but there are a lot of Doras around WNr.2242 and all of them served with the ZG2.

Bf 109 D / 2242 / I/SG 101, 08.04.43 (20%) FP Reims/F, Ldg./Ausbrechen (without name of pilot)

but there is a question behind the WNr.

I supose JoMe means a question mark, as the Wnr is 22042 in GQ6 list RL 2 III/775...

Well, Eric, now I am confused. The majority of the 20000 series 109s are G-6 machines. However, there's a gap in records from 20975 to 26000. So, this would indicate a 22000 series did not exist or there is a recording error for 22042.

JoMe is probably right with Wnr 2242.
I can't find any G-6 in SG 101 losses for this period, but in 02 and 03/43, I found D-1 Wnr 2211, 2233, 2246, 2262, Etc...
