Leutnant Gerhard Wiegand
Hi guys
Leutnant Gerhard Wiegand (32 victories, DK-G) of 4./JG 26 was shot down and injured while bailing out following aerial combat with P-38 twin-engined fighters of the 55th FG, USAAF on 11 June 1944. Would anyone have the loss list information for his fighter that he flew that day? Many thanks. Horrido! Leo |

Hi guys
A follow up question regarding the incident in which he was injured while performing a crash-landing in Fw 190 A-4 "Black 4" (W.Nr. 0140 682) at Arques-St Omer due to engine trouble. The JG 26 War Diaries state that this incident occurred on 4 November 1942 while the QM 6 returns list the date as 14 November 1942. Which is correct? Many thanks for any clarification. Horrido!
