Me 323 unit insignias
 

Happy New Year to you all.

Working on an article on the Me 323 there are a couple of insignias that puzzle me. They are not listed in any book I know on LW unit badges.
Can anyone lend a helpful hand?

Hi, Chris...

Your two emblems are - left, 1.Staffel, Transportgeschwader 5, and right, Feldwerftverband (Motoriziert) 10.

Both markings are listed in Ketley & Rolfe's Luftwaffe Emblems..., numbers 447 and 452 respectively.

Ah!... just noticed Chris has previously supplied you with this information... sorry for the duplcation!

Hello!

I hope my question fits also under the title of this thread.

Is there any details available about GS 1 emblem? Colours, subject(s), details etc. GS 1 stands either for Gigant Sonderstaffel or Grossraum-Segler Staffel 1.

Luftwaffe Verband vol 32 had short article about Me 321 cargo flights to Estonian Island Saaremaa late 1941. I attach below image of GS 1 emblem on a Bf 110 tow plane (the photo sourced to Petrick). It is cut from the article and I will remove it if asked. The purpose of the image is to make clear what emblem I am talking about. At least I can not make out what the subject is within the circle of the emblem.

GS1 Bf 110 tow plane from the Beowulf operation would be a nice modelling subject and connected to air war over Estonian area which is one of my interest focuses.

If the GS 1 emblem will be published in your article Chris, then I will just wait for it. All help about the emblem is welcomed.
