Location of JG 54 loss on 6 January 1944

Hello,

On 6 January 1944, Uffz August Tschaffon of 6./JG 54 was wounded and his Fw 190 A-6 WNr 530959 destroyed in a forced landing, according to Gunter Rosipal's JG 54 loss list.

But no location is given for this loss. Can anyone provide one ? A bonus will be the reason of the forced landing.

The summary of Luftwaffe losses list one aircraft of 5. or 6./JG 54 destroyed without enemy action on non-operational flight, that should be the above aircraft. Another aircraft of the same unit was damaged without enemy action on non-operational flight, but there is no trace of this in Rosipal list (understable given the lack of data for 1944).

The summary has more losses not recorded by Rosipal:
_ for I/JG 54, one AC damaged by Flak
_ for III/JG 54, one AC missing due to enemy action and two "damaged by gunfire from enemy aircraft during operational flight, not observed by enemy"
