12/01 - Bf109s on eBay & one emblem

Hi there,

Really? Gollob? Or Ilhefeld...

One emblem rarely seen on eBay:

#4 I also think that the victory markings match Herbert Ihlefeld, some photos showing their different placement (and two less Russian victims) on the rudder were sold on ebay last year (and probably many times more...)

WNr.6095... and 36 roundels before the first red star... But it seems victories have been relocated on rudder; did put a new one?

A quick look through "Jagdfliegerverbande 6/II" confirms what appears to be 2 different rudders on this aircraft.

Ah! Thanks Don,

It's time to say "Done without buying JFV 6/II" !! :whoa: ... And thanks eBay.

Cheers, Franck.

Hi Maciej,

As far I know No; except JG 53....

By the way, I do not want/use to put the links for this seller since these pictures are there all the year long; and if they aren't, they are; like the King's life! But in another thread Larry was right, it was a new 'Weisses N' picture.

If this is 6095, both Ihlefeld and Berres flew this machine. Both are RKT, so who is it?

Hi John,

Hence the interest to have Ilhefeld victory list, which I've not.
Priller did flew this machine too... "they" said.
Let's say it was Ilhefeld normal mount and if my eyes aren't misleading me the following picture is showing us the same plane with that "eBay rudder":

http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=6764
from a not so old eBay auction. Picture most probably taken at Mariupol, Winter 1941/42.

... But looking at Berres victory list http://www.luftwaffe.cz/berres.html I see he got his 36th in March 1943 and his 48th in July 1943 most of them were "roundel doted planes" except the first six which were red stared, in ... winter 1941/42. Does it mean he took Ilhefeld plane and put his own victories at the end of the former kills display list?

OK; Ilhefeld is enough for me and I don't think I'm that wrong declaring that. Last, doesn't mean Berres didn't flew this machine John, of course.

Regards, Franck.
