Searching for Gefr. Franz Strada 9/KG4 10.5.40 JU88 5J+GT
 

Hello,
I'm looking for informations and pictures of Gefreiter Franz Strada who died on 10th may 1940 on the attack of Schiphol.
He served at least in the 9th squadron of the Kampfgeschwader 4 "General Wever".
He was observer in a JU88 A-1, 5J+GT.
The pilot was Olt. Friedrich Karl Rinck.
The crash is written in the book "Fliegerhorst Schiphol" from A.Jansen.

Maybe someone have got some more informations on that flight crew, especially of Strada.

9./KG4 Junkers Ju88A-1 (3041). Engaged by Fokker DXXI during dawn attack on Schiphol and also set alight by AA fire. Belly-landed by the Hoofdweg, north of Hoofddorp, near Vijfhuizen, 4.45 a.m. BS Gefr Franz Strada killed, FF Oberlt Friedrich-Karl Rinck, BF Oberfw Wilhelm Rüther, and HS Gefr Ferdinand Wissing all captured unhurt – later released. Aircraft 5J+GT 100% write-off.

(55544/59) Franz STRADA was born 29 November 1919 in Krummau, Sudetenland, now Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic.

Where did you find the personal informations about Strada? Dog tag number etc...

I hope someone have some additional private informations and pictures.

I was in touch with Wissing but he had photos only of the crew from after this shoot down (and who were shot down again in Jan 41)

Do you know if Wissing, Rinck and Rüther is on that picture?
Strada is the right one at the bottom.

No and in any case Rinck was an officer and these are NCOs. Rinck and Wissing are no longer alive
