Plt Off Adrian James Goldie, 7 Feb 1945
Hello,
On 7 February 1945, Pilot Officer Adrian James Goldie RAF was the pilot of an Anson of 15 SFTS departing Claresholm airfield, Alberta, Canada, at 0900 hrs on a training flight. Shortly after take-off the Anson caught fire, control was lost and it crashed 3-1/2 miles east of the airport. I would like to know the type and serial of the involved Anson. A google search of the RCAF serials website shows no loss for this date, and no Anson of 15 STFS lost in this period in a crash. Thanks in advance Laurent |

Just a reminder to everyone, my RCAF serial web pages are probably about one third complete. I have much more info on paper, and will always try to help out any requests posted here or at RAF Commnads.
But this time Col beat me to it. |

Thanks Col for your quick answer
Bill, there was no critics in my declaration, I just wanted to say what I had allready done to search data, to ensure nobody will waste time doing the same search. Because when one thinks to a RCAF loss, your website is the first to check. Best regards Laurent |

Re: Plt Off Adrian James Goldie, 7 Feb 1945
Thanks Henk. My source only mentionned one casualty in this case, and as it listed several names for other accidents, I assumed Goldie was alone aboard.
Will amend my file. |
