searching for photo of Halifax JP247-E
 

Hi, All

Following on from the discussion of 19/03/2006, 'Halifax JP247 shot down over Yugoslavia' (This should have read Hungary, as it was in 1944) I have been informed by Air Historical Branch RAF that they once held photo's of the downed aircraft,showing its ID, at its crash site, taken by local inhabitants and forwarded to london. The photo's now appear to have been lost by the RAF and I wondered if anyone had come across them or had any idea where to start looking?
