PQ 7183 and 8175

Hallo,

does anybody know what locations are hidden behind these codes?

Thank you

Michal

Re: PQ 7183 and 8175

Hi,
The positions are given with reference to the Plan Quadrate in a Mitteltrepeze, which was an area 1 dg lat. by 1 dg long. Initially these were subdivided as described here http://www.gyges.dk/Meldenetz%202.ppt#1 . The first 2 digits indicates the 1 dg x 1 dg area and the last 2 are the position within that area.

Please also see:
http://www.gyges.dk/reporting_grids.htm
Without an indication of the Gross and Jadgtrapeze, it is impossible to say were the positions you indicated are.

For example - Using LUMA and assuming '35 Ost' both places are near the city of Valuiki (not far from Kharkov).

Thank you both. I donīt know where it could be, in my opinion somewhere in Silesia because they are about losses of JG 77 planes in Fabruary, March 1945.

Once again, thanks

Best

Hi,

Try to use the GNMV part of LUMA with 15 OS as prefix.
